Kidde Nighthawk 900-0136-003 Smoke Alarm with 10 Year Sealed Lithium Battery Help ensure your safety and your family?s safety from fire in your home with a Kidde Nighthawk Smoke Alarm. This innovative smoke alarm features a sealed lithium battery, eliminating the need for battery changes. It lasts for 10 years and is easily disposed of using the deactivation switch which makes the battery safe for disposal. In addition, the alarm automatically activates upon installation.  This alarm utilizes ionization sensing technology which may detect invisible fire particles that correlate with a flaming fire while photoelectric technology may detect visible fire particles that correlate with smoldering fires. Kidde recommends using both types of alarms.  Additional features of the Nighthawk 900-0136-003 Smoke Alarm are self activation ? automatically turns on the alarm when it is connected to the mounting bracket, and a red flashing LED light and four types of operation including the Smart Hush™ mode which will temporarily silence annoyance alarms, and an end of life chirp alerting you that the unit needs replaced.
