Kidde Nighthawk 21007450 Combination Smoke, Fire and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Want to keep yourself and your family safe from fire and carbon monoxide in your home? If you prefer to have your home fire/CO safety in one unit, then you should consider the Kidde Nighthawk 21007450, featuring the world?s most accurate carbon monoxide alarm*. This alarm features advanced technology, combining ionization smoke sensing which will detect smaller fire particles associated with a flaming fire, with an electrochemical sensor, which senses CO. The sensors communicate ? if one sensor senses a potentially dangerous air mass, depending what was detected, the alarm will adjust its sensitivity to smoke to better sense if there?s a real hazard or a fake one.  If the unit does detect a hazard, it will sound a voice alarm indicating which type of hazard - either fire or CO. In addition, an audio alarm of three long beeps will sound in the event of a fire, and four short alarm beeps for carbon monoxide.  A test button will check the alarm circuitry and voice alarm, and features LED indicator lights ? one red flashing for alarm conditions and one green flashing for normal operation. The unit is battery operated, so it continues to operate even during a power outage.
