The GeneralAire SL-16 bypass humidifier for homes up to 2800 square feet. It was designed with ease of service in mind. Installed on the warm air plenum or return air duct of a forced air furnace, a portion of the heated air from the furnace passes through a water-soaked pad where it absorbs additional moisture and then returns for distribution throughout your home. Water is metered into the KineticFloÆ Trough and dispersed uniformly across the pad. Unevaporated water drains from the bottom of the unit to eliminate mineral build-up.
