The Aprilaire 1213 Upgrade Kit will allow you to upgrade your existing Aprilaire / Space-Gard 2200 air cleaner to a MERV 13 pop-up filter. The Aprilaire 1213 fits all Model 2200 air cleaners produced after 1985.

The Aprilaire 1213 replaces the inner housing of your existing Aprilaire / Space-Gard filter cabinet and eliminates the need for pleat spacers! The Aprilaire 1213 is a Quick and Easy upgrade to improve the efficiency of your existing filter system.

This kit includes the snap-together frame as well as your first MERV 13 pop-up filter!

We have the older Space Guard 2200 Air filter. I decided to order from DiscountFurnaceFilter.com because their prices were much better than I could find locally and they offered reasonable shipping. We chose to buy the upgrade kit and one extra filter. We were very glad we did. The filter is made of a heavier, cloth-like material and with the upgrade kit, it is way easier to install. It used to be tedious to have to put the pleat spacers in, but with the upgrade kit you just slide the filter into the compartment and you are done. There is a video you can watch to show you how to install the kit. Its really easy. The better filter is supposed to last twice as long as the original filters so we expect to save a lot of money on filters. The order was shipped very fast and everything was correct. We plan on ordering more filters from DiscountFurnaceFilter.com in the future and highly recommend them.
